The Vitorino Dias station was opened in 1914 to meet the needs of Ouro-Pretana Industrial Company, a textile factory that operated just a few meters from the station.
In 2006, it was completely restored and incorporated into the railway route of the Trem da Vale Heritage Educational Program.
