Watch the latest video cabin editions at Trem da Vale’s stations
Thursday June 4th, 2009Starting on May 21st, the totems located at the stations of the Trem da Vale Patrimonial Education Program are displaying two new video cabin editions, titled, Paisagens e Lugares I and Lendas, Casos e Mitos II. The last one was recorded in October and November, 2008, in the cities of Santa Rita, Cachoeira do Campo and Rodrigo Silva, districts of Ouro Preto as well as in the city of Padre Viegas, district of Mariana. As for Paisagens e Lugares I, it was recorded in both Mariana and Ouro Preto, as well as in their respective districts, the cities of Cláudio Manoel and Glaura. Over 10 hours of recordings encompassing 130 testimonies resulted in the edited videos, which last about 13 minutes each.
Since 2006 which was the program’s first year, Vale Registrar has been taking the video cabins to both Ouro Preto and Mariana’s districts and neighborhoods, together with EMVÍDEO, in search of testimonies by dwellers and visitors on themes related to the local culture. So far, 44 video cabin editions were produced covering themes such as, but not limited to literature, music, religion, patrimonial education, cinema, Lent, cuisine and popular festivals.
For the time being, the video cabin edition titled Paisagens e Lugares II is being concluded, following the collection of 57 testimonies recorded in the districts of Cachoeira do Brumado and Bento Rodrigues, in Mariana, as well as in the subdistrict of Chapada (Lavras Novas District) and Engenheiro Corrêa, in Ouro Preto.
