Maria-fumaça: the Gold Circuit´s train.
The Minas Gerais Secretary of Tourism (SETUR/MG) has focused on the Circuito do Ouro (Gold Circuit) in its promotion and publicity campaign. Among the presented attractions, Trem da Vale was selected as outstanding.
The SETUR/MG campaign involves the development of two web portals - Espalhe Minas and Experimente Minas - to promote several touristic circuits in Minas Gerais.
The Gold Circuit was the first region to take part in the project because of the importance of the historical cities and their cultural and natural heritages to the state’s tourism. The inclusion of Trem da Vale Project marks the next step in its trajectory in the cities of Ouro Preto and Mariana.
The historical cities that comprise the circuit, joined with the state government’s initiatives, have greatly improved the tourism sector in Minas Gerais. The president of the Gold Circuit emphasizes the importance of this joint venture: President’s Word.
Trem da Vale will be in a short film about the Circuit presenting the stations of the Heritage Education Program and the train trips between Ouro Preto and Mariana aboard the panoramic car.
